"Among the clouds that play upon the skies, a young giraffe was once to be found.

All alone, she sat upon a cloud, gazing down on the earth below. Tears falling down her cheeks, for how long she had been crying, no one knows.

"Why is it so that no one is like me and how come that there is no place where I can belong?" she said, her tears falling down from the clouds."

This is the very first picture to be featured in my children's book (which yet has to be discovered) that depicts the Angelic Giraffe's quest to find a friend.

Smulis the Angelic Giraffe is sad, for she has realized that there is no one like her in the whole world.

Young and inexperienced as she is, she yet has to understand that friends come in all shapes, that they never are just like oneself.

Hopefully, the journey she soon intitiates, will help her to find a friend in the end.

This picture has awaited uploading patiently for a whole year. I finished it on January 1st, 2007, and I thought it fitting to upload it on the very last day of the year it was finished during.

See it as my tribute of appreciation for all of you who have supported me over the past year.
