Left to be All Alone

This is my entry for *kalamu's contest. I know that I still have two months to go before the due date is, but I figured I better finish this one now, so I do not lose interest in it. Plus, I felt really motivated with this picture, so I really enjoyed working with it.

This does not reach up to the awesome level *kalamu has. Her gryphons and the like are o amazingly awesomely drawn. The anatomy of her character is to die for o___o


Anyway, one of the themes of her contest was sorrow. I just got this picture in my head when I read about what her character Kalamu likes: friends and cupcakes (among other things). For such a character, I thought, nothing would be more sad that to be left all alone, without any friends, and no one to make her cupcakes. Being left all alone is terrible and sad, especially if one knows that one never will see anyone again.
Kalamu brought what she could to remind her of her home and her friends. One stone, one plant (lily of the valley), a feather and a cupcake.

I know that the shading of this picture is just plain bad, but I have not drawn in quite a while, so I am afraidthat I have forgotten how I used to sgade my pictures... ;3; That, together with the fact that my room is boiling hot, about 30 degrees Celcius, made this picture a little sloppier than my other pictures. I really couldn't help it... ;3;
When one is all sweaty, nothing is easy to do with great detail, all one can think of is how sticky everything is. Probably more than you wanted to know, but it explains a little of the situation.

Anyway, I hope you all like it, despite the sadness and the crappy details...
